about

Steven K. Smith has been active since the early 1990's in various musical projects ranging from industrial, punk, and ambient. His noted music projects are Daye of Skye, Dolmen, and Mabou. Recent solo releases "Soundtracks from Installations Volume 1 and Totality 6.10.94. have become radio staples in some of North American and Europe experimental radio programs. His solo work tends to be more ambient and reflective than his other musical projects. His new recording titled "Requiem for Failed Suicides" is a bridge between his dark ambient work in Dolmen and the post rock nu-gaze sounds in Mabou. "Requiem for Failed Suicides" is a dense, introspective, and thematic sonic journey. This is another continuation of his evolution and exploration into the ethereal and ritualistic.
